Wild Forest Oumph! Steaks

serves 4


The steaks:

1 pack of Oumph! Mince (450 g)

150g Oyster mushrooms, finely chopped 

1/3 tsp ground rosemary

1/3 tsp ground thyme 

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

10 ml tamari soya sauce


The sauce: 

2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

1/2 tbsp plant-based margarine or cooking oil

2 tbsp mushroom broth 

10 ml tamari soya sauce

250 ml plant-based cooking cream 

2 tbsp blackcurrant jelly 

15 – 20 fresh rosemary leaves 


The mushrooms:

250 g Mixed mushrooms

2 tbsp plant-based margarine or cooking oil 

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Mix all the steak ingredients and shape into four patties. Fry for a few minutes on each side. 


For the sauce: Lightly fry the garlic in the margarine, add 50 ml of water and then add the rest of the ingredients. Cook until the sauce is smooth. 


Fry the mushrooms in the margarine or cooking oil on a low heat. Season with salt and pepper. 


Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes, blackcurrant jelly and pickled veggies. (Or with chips and peas, we’re not the boss of you!)
